That lets me safely cross as Executive using the walk signal. You might want to do that until they create a cross walk and signal for the bike path side of the parkway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8172330048773344383.post-15459265663607529532008-06-13T18:55:00.000-04:002008-06-13T18:55:00.000-04:00Thank goodness progress is being made. I also saw the report that work will begin in June on the elevation separation of Montrose Parkway and Rockville Point.

This project will yield almost immediate benefits. First, traffice heading south will now be separated from through traffic. They can proceed on the parkeway to E. Jefferson and turn right on E. Jefferson. Some cars will turn directly into the office buildings from the parkway thus reducing the number of cars at the intersection of Montrose Road and E. Jefferson. Yes, it is less than optimal to wait for the grade separation to open the section from E. Jefferson to the Pike, but it was not a major cost of the project and it was more convenient to align this work with the parkway west than do it as part of the east. It could not be done with the grade spearation because that is a state project not a county project.

As a frequent traveler through this intersection, I am thrilled at the progress.

N.
